As great of a handheld as the PSPgo is, the biggest fault against the device is the extremely steep price point. After all, for only $50 more than the retail price of the PSPgo is a brand-new PlayStation 3. With the removal of the UMD drive in exchange for flash memory, one would think that the price would be lower than a standard PSP-3000, right?
Fortunately, online retailer, Amazon, has the right idea with their discounting scheme for gamers on the go. On the online retailer, the PSPgo is currently discounted from $249.99 to $199.00. While it still may not be as low of a price as the PSP-3000, which retails for $169.99, the included 16 gigabytes of space admittedly makes up for the additional $30 in price.
The PSPgo is available on Amazon in piano black for $199.00 and in pearl white for $196.98.
